Project Objective:

Develop a new generation of drivers and fairway woods that are lighter, stronger, with greater head speed and increased power-to-weight ratio.

Proven Results:

The sole and crown of the RAZR Hawk Driver use AMC-8593 carbon fiber Advanced Molding Compound that reinforces 67% of the clubhead. This allowed engineers to precisely control thickness like never before, resulting in a clubhead that's lighter, stronger than titanium but still has an extremely high moment of inertia. The lighter clubhead enables a longer club configuration for faster head speed, ball speed and greater distance without compromising forgiveness.

Callaway's adoption of AMC® materials and development of the Forged Composite® technology in partnership with Lamborghini and the University of Washington realized major cost savings compared to other continuous carbon fiber composite materials and fabrication methods.
